Fall Spotlight: What to do on the weekends in and around Portland
Here at NW Staffing, we value working hard during the week just as much as we value being a part of our community in our downtime. Fall is officially here as of this past weekend and to celebrate, we’ve rounded up four things to celebrate Autumn in our beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Vancouver Farmers Market
Head to the Vancouver Farmers market on Saturday and Sunday mornings and enjoy all of the goodies it has to offer. The market has expanded with more vendors this year. Enjoy seasonal produce, beautiful flowers and maybe something warm to drink on those cold October mornings.
Beaverton Restaurant Week
Maybe the rainy fall weather has got you hungry for something hearty and warm. From September 26th to October 6th enjoy a meal from one of the over 40 restaurants that are participating in the third annual Beaverton Restaurant week. We love supporting local businesses and there is no shortage here of local businesses to explore.
Bike More
Go Green with your transportation. Being conscious of our carbon footprint is one of our values at NW Staffing. One way that you can participate in going green this fall is to get outside! Ride your bike through the many bike trails that Portland and the surrounding cities have to offer, or zip through downtown on the bike friendly roads.
Hood River Harvest Fest
Head just over an hour east and land in Hood River to celebrate Harvest Fest and enjoy the fruit-quite literally-of the many farms that reside there. Bring the whole family to enjoy the over 120 vendors, watch some gigantic pumpkins being carved and walk away with some fresh produce to bake something delicious!
We hope you enjoy all that fall offers! In the meantime, if you your Monday-Friday needs to be filled up with a job we’re here to help. With locations in Portland, Clackamas, Beaverton, Everett, and Vancouver, our skilled recruiters are ready to help you take the next step in your career. If you’re excited for a new challenge, call NW Staffing today.
